DataScale Partners with XI International Financial Forum BIFF 2025

On May 30, 2025, Bishkek hosted the XI International Financial Forum BIFF, organised by the Union of Banks of Kyrgyzstan. DataScale was an official partner of this significant event, which is the largest in Central Asia platform for discussing current trends in finance, fintech and digital technologies.

This year the forum gathered more than 400 participants from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and other countries. The main theme of BIFF 2025 was ‘Innovation, digital transformation and sustainable development: the future of the financial ecosystem’.

Semyon Popov, the company’s Sales Director, delivered a provocative presentation on the topic:

‘How to help fraudsters: five best ways to leave the gate open’.

In his speech, the expert ironically broke down the key mistakes that make financial organisations vulnerable to fraud:

  1. Unstructured Data Management
„Chaotic data storage creates the perfect camouflage for fraudulent activity.“
  2. Neglecting Initial Audits
„What you don’t know about your systems, fraudsters will discover first.“
  3. Overreliance on Manual Processes
„Trusting millions to spreadsheet solutions invites unnecessary risk.“
  4. Avoiding Machine Learning
„Manual detection methods give fraudsters a multi-year advantage.“

The speech evoked a lively response from the audience, emphasising the importance of compliance with information security standards, automation and implementation of modern technologies to combat financial crime.

BIFF 2025 once again confirmed its status as a key platform for dialogue between banks, fintech companies, regulators and international organisations. Participants discussed the digitalisation of financial services, open banking, cybersecurity, ESG finance and the implementation of the digital som.

Participation in BIFF 2025 was an important step in the development of dialogue between technology and the financial industry. The forum confirmed the relevance of DataScale’s approaches to creating a secure digital environment for the banking sector.
