On 27 February 2025, Bishkek hosted the third International PLAS-Forum Digital Kyrgyzstan, which became one of the largest platforms for discussing digital transformation in Central Asia. The event, organised with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, gathered more than 1,500 delegates from 22 countries, including experts, business and government representatives.
DataScale participated in the forum as a listener to better understand the current trends and prospects of the Kyrgyz market.
Semyon Popov, Sales Director at DataScale shared his impressions: ‘The forum confirmed that Kyrgyzstan is actively moving towards digitalisation. We saw significant interest in data storage and analysis systems, as well as in new financial technologies, including Islamic banking. The market demonstrates a high potential for innovation, and this opens up new opportunities for the development of both local and international projects.’
The forum discussed key topics such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, crypto-industry and digital currencies. The participants paid special attention to the creation of an ‘AI Committee’ under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the prospects for the introduction of the digital som, a national project that could become a driver of economic growth.
The PLUS-Forum has also become a platform for strengthening international co-operation. In 2025, important agreements were signed to develop the digital economy and support joint projects in the region.
DataScale’s participation in the event underlines the company’s interest in the Kyrgyz market and its willingness to explore new opportunities for co-operation as part of Central Asia’s digital transformation.
